GENERAL:
- What type of services do you provide?
- We provide customized album design services for professional photographers. Photographers submit us their images, as well as specifications for their albums, and we design the albums. Once the design is approved, we will provide the layered PSD and JPEG files for photographers to submit to the album company of their choice.
- How do I get started?
- Submit an inquiry form and we'll send you the necessary pricing and file submission details. That's all!
- Do you work with international customers?
- Yes. We are based in the United States, but we work with photographers from around the world - include Canada, Europe and Australia.
- How are you different from other companies offering album design services?
- We specialize in design. Our designers are all highly-trained in the field of graphics design.
- We provide you with an UNLIMITED number of revisions after the initial design. We know every photographer has their share of "picky" brides.
- We never use templates. We custom design each and every album to suit your style.
- We provide you with the full-size, layered Photoshop PSD files once your design is approved.
- We specialize in high volume. When it comes to crunch time and you have 10 albums to complete, we can help you out!
PRICING:
- What are your design prices?
- Please submit an inquiry form and we'll send you our latest pricesheet
FILE SUBMISSION:
- How do I submit files to your company?
- Files are submitted via FTP. You may also choose to use standard mail to send CDs to us.
- How many images do you recommend for an album?
- Our typical design uses one to three images per side. So, for a typical 30-side album, we recommend approx. 60 to 90 images. Please keep in mind that the more photos you submit, the "busier" the design becomes.
- Can I submit more images and have your designers pick the images for me?
- Absolutely. You can submit them either in the same directory, or split them into directories such as "must-have" and "optional".
- Is there a limit to the number of images I can submit for an album design?
- What file formats do you accept?
- You should submit only RGB JPEGs. We do not process RAW files.
WORKFLOW:
- How long does it take to complete an album design?
- Your album design will be usually completed in less than 2 weeks.
- How many revisions are allowed after I see my initial design?
- You are allowed an unlimited number of revisions.
- How will my couples see the album design?
- We will send you a link with the design preview. You can forward the link directly to your client.
DESIGN STYLES :
- How do I convey my particular design style and preferences to your company?
- There are many ways to let us know your specific style and preferences:
- You can write a small paragraph describing what you like, what you don't like, as well as any other preferences - we will then keep that on file as reference.
- You can look through our sample designs and let us know which ones you like.
- You can send us thumbnails or links to existing designs that you like, and we can then simulate the style.
- Can you design similar to existing album designs?
- Yes, just point us to your existing designs, and we'll do our best to emulate the design style.
OTHERS:
- Can you design for companies such as GraphiStudio, VisionArt, Leather Craftsmen, Sim2000, AsukaBooks, Albums Unlimited, etc?
- Yes, we can design for any company as long as we know the specs for the album dimensions.
- Can you design matted albums for Queensberry, Seldex, Leather Craftsment, Cypress, ZookBinders?
- Yes, we use Photojunction to design matted albums. Once you approve your design, we will mail you the Photojunction project files.
- For album companies that fully support Photojunction, you can then simply order your album directly from within Photojunction. (e.g. Queensberry)
- For album companies that don't fully support Photojunction (e.g. Leather Craftsmen, ZookBinders, etc.), we can send you the exported images as well as mat layouts. You will then still need to order your images separately and label them accordingly.
